Missoula Community
Dr. Richards is currently the President of the medical staff at Community Medical Center and Chairman of the CMC Board. In addition to serving the medical community, he is active in several philanthropic pursuits and stays active in the Missoula community.
Dominican Republic Trip
Dr. Richards and Suzi Ritter, our nurse, had the opportunity to join a team providing care in the Dominican Republic. This week along medical mission provided opportunities for serving a large underserved population which does not have access to some of the basic medical services American take for granted. The patients were ever so grateful that medical providers from around the world are willing to volunteer their time and expertise to provide much needed care. Our team made many friends, both locally and among the other providers and hope to go again soon. http://www.mmi.org/
Guinea West Africa Missions Trip
Dr. Richards teamed up with the CAMAS Medical Missions to offer medical care in the jungles of Guinea West Africa. He had the opportunity to work alongside other medical providers from the states as well as country based medical missionaries to provide surgical care that otherwise is not available in this remote part of Africa. One of his most memorable trips involved repairing hernias in a screened 12×12 tent in the middle of the jungle. The challenges are great but the rewards have been immense. https://hopeguinea.org/.
